Electronics Design Engineer

Qualifications:

Degree /HND with appropriate experience

Several years working in an industrial environment

Expertise in the following fields would be advantageous:

Analogue, digital, power supply design, EMC testing, schematic and PCB layout (Proteus), PIC programming, C++ programming.

Job description:

Based in Ringmer, East Sussex the successful candidate will work within a small team and be tasked to provide electronic and software design support for our range of scientific instrumentation.

Responsibilities will include taking projects from initial design specifications through to finished products and to provide electronics support for our existing range of products.

Cryo systems lead CAD design engineer

Based Ringmer, East Sussex

1. Scope
   • Reports to the director - integrated systems products
     1. Take the supplied concept through modelling stage to full drawing set for manufacture of our cryo -systems products using Solid Works
     2. Build and test development prototypes with the assistance of the production engineering team
     3. BOM introduction for new product and maintain BOM for existing
     4. Identify and source replacement parts when driven by design change or obsolescence
     5. Manage design changes
     6. Control the design office administration including drawing and model revision levels
     7. Maintain product technical files
     8. Allocate the work tasks
   
   
2. Primary technical skills & experience required
   • Electrical / Mechanical designer with emphasis on mechanical
     1. Solid Works CAD/ 3 D modelling
     2. High vacuum systems design (order 1x10-7mbar)
     3. Experience with LN2 systems, pressure vessels and electro-mechanical control systems
   
   
3. Qualifications
   • Degree/HND in relevant subject
     1. Minimum 10 years relevant experience
     2. Demonstrable knowledge of vacuum system technology and the physics of gases and fluids.
